Directions to MIT Kresge Auditorium

From South:
Follow Rt. 3N or Rt. 95N to I-93N. Take Storrow Dr West, to the Massachusetts Ave., Rt.2A/N exit. Go right off of exit, over bridge. At second light, turn left into Amherst Alley. Kresge Auditorium is to your right.

From West:
I-90 East (Mass Pike) to Exit 18,Cambridge/Somerville. Straight over bridge, turn right onto Memorial Drive. Turn left into Aubrey Street, just past the Hyatt Hotel. Turn right onto Vassar Street. Continue to Massachusetts Ave. Turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right into Amherst Alley. Kresge Auditorium is to your right.

Follow signs through Sumner tunnel to Storrow Dr. West, to the Massachusetts Ave., Rt.2A/N exit. Go right off of exit, over bridge. At second light, turn left into Amherst Alley. Kresge Auditorium is to your right.

From Subway/MBTA:
From Boston: Take the red line to Kendall/MIT Square Station. Exit to street level, then cross Main Ave. Continue on Main until Vassar Street. Turn Left, walk to Massachusetts Avenue. Turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right into campus at 77 Massachusetts Avenue. Kresge Auditorium is across the open grass space on your left. It is a 10-12 minute walk.

From Harvard Square - Alewife:
Same as above.

From North:
Follow 95S to 93S. Take Storrow Drive West to the Massachusetts Ave., Rt. 2A/N exit. Go right off of exit, over bridge. After four lights turn left onto Sidney Street. Hotel @ MIT is down one block on the left.

From Logan International Airport:
Follow signs through Sumner tunnel to Storrow Dr. West, to the Massachusetts Ave., Rt. 2A/N exit. Go right off of exit, over bridge. After four lights, turn left onto Sidney Street. Hotel @ MIT is one block on the left.

From Subway/MBTA:
From Boston: Take the red line to Central Square Station. Exit to street level, then cross Massachusetts Ave. Go left three blocks and take first right after the fire station onto Sidney Street. Walk down one block and entrance to hotel is on left on Green Street.

From Harvard Square - Alewife:
Same as above except stay on same side of the street upon exiting.

Parking / Shuttle

We will be running a shuttle from the entrance of the [email protected] to Kresge from 7:30-9AM on May 17th, with a return service in the afternoon from 5:30-7:30.

Parking near the MIT campus

As an urban campus, there is no conference parking available on the MIT campus.

We encourage arriving by public transportation if possible, but if you wish to drive, the following public parking facilities are in the MIT area and may be used by visitors at MIT. Since rates are subject to change, please call for current rates.

55 Franklin Street Garage

We have made arrangements for a special $10.00 parking rate at the 55 Franklin Street Garage. Parking rate at the garage is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The rate is not available for overnight or valet parking.

Directions to the 55 Franklin Street Garage (enter on Green Street)

Head northwest on Massachusetts Ave/RT-2A toward Vassar St (0.3 mile)
Turn left at Landsdowne St (0.1 mile)
Turn right at Franklin St (269 ft)

55 Summer Street

Details on the parking process at the 55 Franklin Street Garage.
(Please note these instructions carefully.)

When you park at the garage, get a ticket from the garage upon entry, as normal.
Show that ticket when registering for the event.
We will give you a validation sheet in Kresge Auditorium.
Upon returning to your vehicle, show both your ticket and the validation sheet to the garage attendant when paying.

Additional parking lots are located as follows:

Public parking is available at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (575 Memorial Drive) and in thegarage located next to the Hotel @ MIT located off of Massachusetts Avenue on Sidney Street. Rates are approximately $20 per day.
